Spectrum Enchanted was built by Madyson — an autistic, disabled creator who has personally experienced what it feels like when a platform isn't designed with you in mind. That experience is the reason this site exists. Accessibility here isn't a compliance checklist. It's something we actually care about deeply.
We are committed to making Spectrum Enchanted usable, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone — including people with visual impairments, motor differences, sensory processing differences, cognitive differences, and chronic illness. If something gets in your way, we want to know about it and we will work to fix it.
Intentional Design Choices
Every design decision on this site was made with care. Here's what we've deliberately built in:
- 🌈High-contrast color palette so text is always readable against the dark background.
- 📝Plain language throughout the site. No jargon, no vague corporate speak — just clear, direct words.
- ✋No flashing or strobing effects are intentionally used. Decorative motion is designed to respect browser reduced-motion preferences and the site’s Stop Animations control.
- 👆Large, generously-sized clickable targets so navigation is easy whether you use a mouse, keyboard, or touch.
- 🧭Consistent navigation across all pages — no surprises, no hidden menus that appear out of nowhere.
- ⌨️Visible keyboard focus treatment on interactive controls, with continuing keyboard-path review.

Known Limitations & Work in Progress
We'll be honest with you: this site is new, and we are actively improving it. We believe honesty about limitations is more respectful than pretending everything is perfect.
Things we are actively working on right now:
- →A focused screen-reader review across key customer and creator paths.
- →An independent WCAG 2.2 conformance audit. We do not currently claim AAA conformance.
- →Reviewing new and changed informational imagery so its text alternative stays useful; decorative artwork is intentionally hidden from assistive technology.
- →Testing keyboard paths with physical-keyboard and assistive-technology review.

How to Report an Issue
If you run into any accessibility barrier on this site — no matter how small it seems — please reach out. Every single report is taken seriously.
